How to Add a Custom AI Model in Klu Chat
Step 1: Open the Model Settings
- In the chat interface, locate the AI Model menu in the bottom-right corner, where you switch between different models (as shown in the image).
- Click on Settings next to the AI Model dropdown.
Step 2: Create a Custom Model
- A new menu option will appear labeled "Create Model".
- Select "Create Model" to start configuring a new custom AI model.
Step 3: Choose the AI Provider
- You’ll be prompted to choose an AI provider (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, or other available options).
- Select the provider from the list.
Step 4: (Optional) Provide a Custom Endpoint
- If you’re using a model that requires a custom API endpoint, input the endpoint URL here. If not, you can skip this step.
Step 5: Add API Key
- Next, you’ll need to enter the API key associated with the chosen AI provider. This key allows Klu Chat to communicate with the custom model’s API.
- For example, if you're using OpenAI, retrieve your API key from the OpenAI dashboard and input it here.
- For detailed instructions on generating and using API keys, refer to the Bolt.ai API setup.
Step 6: Save the Model
- Once you’ve filled out the required fields (provider, API key, and optionally the custom endpoint), click Save.
- The newly created custom model will now appear in the AI Model dropdown menu, and you can select it for future chats.
